Kim Crawford Wines Launches Artists’ Lounge

I don’t know about you but I love walking around an art gallery alone. Now don’t get me wrong, I treasure spending time with family and exposing my children to new experiences, but there are always the distractions of who needs to go to the bathroom or who is too tired to walk a step further. Family!

I met a friend in D.C. a month or so after my son started kindergarten. It felt so decadent to walk around the Sackler Gallery by myself. The artwork was amazingly detailed…an exhibit of paintings from the Jodphur region of Indian. Each painting was painted using horsehairs. I walked aorund with a magnifying glass to see the detail.

Kim Crawford WinesThe works of art were painted 200-300 years ago by a group of painters commissioned by the Indian Royal family. Can you imagine having a work of art painted for you? Kim Crawford Wines is making this dream come true for seven lucky winners. Kim Crawford Wines is New Zealand’s first virtual winery.

Seven winners will be chosen from among those who post an inspirational thought, anecdote, or musing. All seven winners will receive a work of art from one of the four artists-in-residence — a musician, a printer, a photographer, and a poet.  The inspiration for the artwork will come from your posts, random musings, photographs, or inspirations. Head on over to the Kim Crawford Wines’ Artists’ Lounge to join the community, then post, and you  are entered!

One of the seven winners, will be chosen for the grand prize of a trip to New Zealand for two! I have been asked by Kim Crawford Wines to tell my readers about this inspiring contest. Won’t you consider joining the Artists’ Lounge for a chance to win a trip for two to Nea Zealand?

I’m not sure how to show you my postings on the Kim Crawford site but one of them is “Title – Winter Krill
This was one of those chance occasions – a very windy day in New Zealand – blew ashore all this krill.”
